There are some recipes I go back to over and over again, some I try once, others I make seasonally or for special occasions, and then there are staples that fall into the first category as well as the walk-into-anyone’s-home-and-make-a-version-with-my-eyes-closed dishes.

Give a girl a baby and she’ll just want another one tomorrow. Teach a girl how to make a baby and, well, babies for brekkie EVERY DAY! In all seriousness, the give a man a fish adage is *unequitable - see note below - and I will happily feed you and/or walk you through these rich morning treats anytime.

Here we are in day gajillionth bazillionth (okay, only day 152 for me, a day short of 5 months) of pandemic life and it’s taken this many days, weeks, months to sit down and begin writing.
